SkyBox Service

Customers signing up are given a US address with a customer identification number (T box #) to which they can post all their online purchases and whatever mail and packages to. Once the package is received at our sorting facility in Miami they are diligently air freighted to Trinidad, cleared through customs and brought to the customers’ nominated distribution center for collection.

When you order a package on-line, while checking out you enter the Miami address given to you including your T-box account as depicted below and continue to check out.

When sending any other package notify the sender of the address given to you.

Upon receipt of packages at our Miami address, we will take care of the rest, its reception, international transportation, customs clearance, etc.

When the package reaches Miami you’d receive via email an alert that your package has been received.

When the package leaves Miami another alert is sent to notify you that your package is in transit.

When the package reaches Trinidad, it is cleared through customs, processed into our system, delivered to its designated branch and sorted. When the package is ready, another alert is sent to you to notify you that your package is ready for pick up.

SeaBox Service

Our Seabox service was created to enable customers with a better and cheaper alternative to sending larger and heavier packages via AIR. Seabox is NOT shipped by ocean it is shipped by air at a sea rate. As with the air service the package is received at our sorting facility in Miami, are sorted, processed and sent via air courier. The cargo is then cleared through customs at the courier bond and brought to the customers nominated distribution center for collection or delivery could be arranged. This whole process takes about 1-2 weeks.

A minimum of 15 lbs. (actual or volumetric whichever is greater) per tracking number or WR (Warehouse Receipt) would qualify for SeaBox. If the shipment has multiple boxes traveling under one tracking number or WR (Warehouse Receipt), if the total weight of all the boxes is over 15 lbs. it would qualify for SeaBox. Please note that Tropical Express cannot consolidate different packages that have different tracking numbers or WR’s.

Please Note again that the shipment must be 15 lbs. or more and have the correct Ocean Courier address which is different to the SkyBox address, please see below. Any Package that comes to the SeaBox Address that's less than 15 lbs. will automatically be sent via SkyBox. Also since Seabox is shipped via air freight it is still subjected to OPT charges.
